In 2003, Daniel Hardesty and Ryan Dietrich founded Vortex as a small business specializing in custom computer building and repairs. While continuing full-time positions in IT and multimedia with other companies, they continued to nurture Vortex into what it is today. In 2017, they both made the decision to dedicate themselves fully to Vortex and concentrate on growing the company into a reliable provider of technology solutions. As part of this growth, additional team members were hired to expand the range of services offered by Vortex. The underlying principle behind Vortex Technology Solutions has always been to leverage the company's diverse talent pool to provide customers with a comprehensive one-stop-shop for all their technology needs. Vortex is committed to providing affordable business, residential, and creative services without compromising on quality workmanship. Their approach is to implement solutions, not just hardware and software.

Daniel Hardesty

OWNER-PARTNER

Daniel has spent his entire professional career working in the fields of technology and business management. After graduating from Indiana University, he and his business partner Ryan founded Vortex Computer Solutions in 2003, a small business specializing in custom computer building and repairs. While maintaining full-time employment elsewhere, they gradually expanded the business over the years. In 2017, Daniel decided to make Vortex his full-time focus after working as an IT professional in the fuel and convenience industry. He has also been involved in various construction projects from the ground up, focusing on technical project management and design.

Ryan Dietrich

With a vast experience in multimedia and technology, Ryan's involvement in these fields began in high school. As a graduate of Indiana University, he has spent 20 years working professionally in the radio, TV, and multimedia industries. In 2003, Ryan teamed up with his business partner Daniel to start Vortex, which initially offered custom computer building and repair services. Following working at other multimedia agencies, Ryan became a full-time member of the Vortex team in 2017. He is now heavily involved in various large-scale technology projects, with a focus on business IT, Audio/Video and TV/Radio sectors.

Andrew Sands

SR. TECHNOLOGY MANAGER & CREATIVE SOLUTIONS

Andrew's expertise in technology project management comes from his dual background in law enforcement and creative media, which brings a unique perspective to his work. Andrew first joined Vortex as an independent contractor in 2015 and later became a full-time employee in 2017 after a 10 year career in corrections administration. His foundation in project management has been centered around security, access, and cabling projects, while his passion lies in developing creative solutions as a web and media designer. Since 2015, Andrew has been managing and designing Vortex's creative services and web development projects.

Charles Walker

TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Meet Charles, who goes by his last name "Walker"...with his technical and mechanical expertise, Walker has a natural talent for technology applications. Prior to joining Vortex in 2019, he served in the United States Marine Corps before transitioning into the security and law enforcement fields. Walker's love for technology and tinkering with hardware and software has made him an invaluable member of the team. Originally from Virginia, he specializes in structured cable installations and security or access control projects.
